I have named this work "Across the Room" as this inviting direct gaze is unquestionably direct eye contact. I have worked a lot on the eyes, which initially proved very challenging, as they are wide open, but are not meant to stare at you.. I am also adding the fauvist -style colouring. There is still a significant amount of work to do before this work is finished.
This fauvist styled portrait has intense blue eyes, and is part of the Red Lips Series, forming part of the artworks Pearl Red Moon and myself are preparing for our exhibition at the Muswellbrook Regional Art Center, opening on Saturday 4th August at 6.00pm and continuing for 4 weeks.
